The manufacturing process of PTFE etched tubes includes three types: free extrusion, core extrusion and dip coating. Each process has its own advantages and disadvantages. Our company can choose different manufacturing processes according to the production needs of the products.
1.Free extrusion process
Brief description of the process: The free extrusion process involves mixing PTFE powder with organic solvents and lubricating fluids to form prefabricated parts, which are then extruded into tubular shapes through an extrusion mechanism and subjected to sintering treatment.
Advantages:
• Uniform wall thickness
• High strength and rigidity
• Better flexibility

Disadvantage: The wall thickness of the products produced is thicker than that of those made using the other two manufacturing processes
2.Extrusion process with mandrel
Process brief: The mandrel extrusion process is based on free extrusion and uses a mandrel to assist in extrusion molding, ensuring the uniformity and flexibility of the pipe wall, while simplifying the production process and improving production efficiency.

Advantages:
• It simplifies the production process and reduces damage to the etched surface during operation
• It can be continuously produced with high production efficiency.
• The online dimensions are stable
Disadvantages:
• Relatively high cost
• It has relatively high requirements for equipment and operation
3. Safety for dipping process
Process brief: The dip coating process involves evenly applying a concentrated PTFE dispersion onto the metal core wire, followed by sintering and curing to form a uniform coating. Then, the metal core wire is removed to obtain PTFE pipes with outstanding flexibility.

Advantages:
• Ultra-thin wall thickness
• Good flexibility
Disadvantages:
• Weak mechanical properties and relatively
• low strength
• Low production efficiency
Summary:
• The free extrusion process is suitable for applications that require high strength and rigidity.
• The mandrel extrusion process is suitable for applications that require high production efficiency and simplified production processes. • The dip coating process is suitable for applications that require ultra-thin wall thickness and high flexibility
