Introduction

Solvent-free laminating equipment depends on precise control of adhesive temperature, viscosity and component ratio.

Even when the storage tanks and metering unit operate correctly, adhesive conditions can change while the material moves through the connecting hoses. Heat loss inside the transfer path may increase viscosity, alter pressure response and reduce the consistency of adhesive delivery to the coating section.

A heated adhesive hose for solvent-free laminating machines maintains the required temperature between the adhesive supply, metering system, mixing unit and laminating head.

Why the Hose Influences Laminating Quality

In a two-component adhesive system, stable material flow is essential for maintaining the intended mixing ratio.

When one material cools faster than the other, the two components may develop different viscosities. This can affect:

  • Coating weight
