Electrically Heated Hot Melt Hose for Hot Melt and PUR Adhesive Dispensing Machines

JINGCHENG Hot Melt Hose is an electrically heated hose for hot melt adhesive machines and PUR adhesive machines, heat resistant up to 230°C and wound on fully automated equipment instead of by hand for consistent, durable quality. Uniformly braided heating elements and high-efficiency insulation keep the adhesive evenly heated from melter to gun, in seven catalog sizes from 1/4" to 1" ID with sensor, voltage, length and fittings made to order.

Electrically Heated Hot Melt Hose for Hot Melt and PUR Adhesive Dispensing Machines

Hot melt and PUR adhesives must reach the gun at the same temperature they leave the melter. If the hose loses heat, the adhesive thickens, the bead becomes uneven and the line can block; if the hose runs hot spots, the adhesive degrades and chars. JINGCHENG's Hot Melt Hose is an electrically heated hose designed for hot melt adhesive machines and PUR adhesive machines. It is heat resistant up to 230°C and, unlike conventional hand-wound hoses, it is wound on fully automated equipment for consistent, durable quality.

Why Adhesive Dispensing Needs a Dedicated Heated Hot Melt Hose

The hose between the melter and the applicator gun is a critical part of any hot melt system:

  • Temperature loss: adhesive cools in an unheated or poorly insulated hose and its viscosity rises

  • Hot spots: uneven heating can overheat and degrade the adhesive, leading to char and blocked nozzles

  • Inconsistent beads: viscosity changes along the hose show up as uneven glue lines at the gun

  • Short service life: manually wound hoses vary from piece to piece and can fail early under continuous heating cycles

A dedicated heated hot melt hose keeps the adhesive at a stable temperature all the way to the gun.

Construction and Working Principle

Automated Winding

JINGCHENG hot melt hoses are no longer made by the traditional manual winding method. They are wound on fully automated equipment, so each hose is built the same way and the finished quality is consistent and durable.

Heating Layer

The heating layer is made of uniformly braided heating elements. This keeps the temperature difference across the inner wall to a minimum, so the adhesive is heated evenly instead of being overheated in some places and cooled in others.

Insulation and Surface Temperature

High-insulation-efficiency materials are used around the heating layer, chosen with the hose surface temperature in mind. This reduces energy loss and helps keep the outside of the hose at a safer temperature for operators.

Sensor and Connector

The hose can be fitted with the temperature sensor your melter uses (Type J or Type K thermocouple, Ni120, PT100 or PT1000) and with your connector pin layout at the melter end and the gun end.

Key Features

  • Heat resistance up to 230°C (higher temperatures available on request)

  • Fully automated winding instead of manual winding, for consistent and durable quality

  • Uniformly braided heating elements for an even inner-wall temperature

  • High-efficiency insulation designed around the hose surface temperature

  • Seven catalog sizes from 1/4" to 1" ID

  • Built to match your melter: voltage, sensor, length, fittings and pin layout made to order

Applications

The Hot Melt Hose is used on all types of hot melt adhesive machines and PUR adhesive machines, and can also be built to suit imported adhesive dispensing units. Typical uses include:

  • Packaging: carton and case sealing, tray forming and labeling lines

  • Woodworking and furniture: edge banding, profile wrapping and lamination

  • Automotive and assembly: bonding of trim, filters and components with hot melt or PUR adhesives

  • Textiles, nonwovens and hygiene products: spray and slot coating of hot melt adhesives

  • Bookbinding and paper converting: spine gluing and PUR binding

How to Read the Model Code

JINGCHENG heated hoses are identified by a model code such as JCH-200-16-B-3X220-P2-8:

  • 200: working temperature in °C (200 = 200°C)

  • 16: hose inner diameter in mm (16 = Φ16)

  • B: inner tube material (B = stainless steel corrugated tube; TB = PTFE hose with stainless steel braid; T = PTFE hose; X = special material)

  • 3X220: working voltage (220 = 220 V; 3X220 = three-phase four-wire 220 V)

  • P2: temperature sensor (P2 = PT100 two-wire; P3 = PT100 three-wire; K = Type K thermocouple; J = Type J thermocouple; W = no sensor; T = special sensor)

  • 8: working pressure in MPa (8 = 8 MPa)

Operating Environment

  • Ambient temperature: -40°C to +55°C

  • Relative humidity: not more than 85%

  • Atmospheric pressure: 86 kPa to 106 kPa

  • Voltage range: 12 Vac to 380 Vac

  • The surrounding medium should not contain gases that corrode metal or damage insulation, or conductive media, and severe mold must not be present. For special environments, contact us for a customized hose.

Installation and Safety Tips

  • Wire the hose according to its technical parameters and the pin table supplied with it.

  • Do not twist the hose sideways during or after installation; lateral twisting can cause leakage, flow loss, hose damage or fire.

  • Avoid sharp bends; bending the hose too tightly can damage it and cause short circuit, leakage or fire.

  • The hose should be operated only by authorized and trained personnel, ideally the same dedicated operators.

  • Unauthorized modification or adjustment of the hose voids the warranty.

  • If you meet a problem not covered by the instructions, contact us so that our engineers can guide the installation.

How to Order

  1. Inquiry: send us your requirements by phone, fax or the inquiry form.

  2. Specification confirmation: our engineers propose the most suitable specification as a quotation reference.

  3. Quotation: we issue a quotation; you confirm with a purchase order.

  4. Production: the hose is built in our factory to the confirmed specification.

  5. Inspection and packing: every hose is checked for defects and packed.

  6. Shipment: the hose is shipped to your designated address.

How to Select the Right Hot Melt Hose

  • Adhesive and temperature: tell us the adhesive type (EVA, PO, PA, PUR and so on) and its application temperature (standard up to 230°C).

  • Size and length: choose the inner diameter for your adhesive output (1/4" to 1" in the catalog) and the hose length from melter to gun.

  • Electrical: specify the supply voltage, power per meter and the sensor type of your melter.

  • Connections: give the thread standard at each end (US, British or metric) and the connector and pin layout at the melter end and the gun end.

  • Routing: plan the route so the hose is not twisted or bent sharply, especially next to the fittings.
