Space inside modern processing equipment is becoming increasingly limited.
Pumps, valves, filling heads, tanks, sensors and structural frames often leave little room for conventional rigid tubing or large-radius flexible hoses.
In these applications, the fluid line must bend around equipment components while still providing chemical resistance and reliable material transfer.
The JCC-10000-PTFE convoluted PTFE hose uses a corrugated PTFE structure on both the inner and outer walls, giving the hose significantly greater flexibility than conventional smooth-wall PTFE tubing.
It is designed for pharmaceutical, food and chemical equipment where compact routing and frequent changes in hose direction are important.
Smooth PTFE tubing offers excellent chemical resistance, but larger sizes can require relatively large bending radii.
Inside compact machinery, this may create several installation problems:
Insufficient space for large bends
Excessive stress on connectors
Difficulty routing around pumps and valves
Need for additional elbows
Increased rigid-pipe connections
Poor accommodation of machine vibration
Difficult maintenance access
A convoluted structure allows the hose to change direction over a much shorter distance.
The JCC-10000-PTFE series uses corrugated PTFE walls rather than a conventional straight-wall structure.
This geometry allows the hose to flex more easily without requiring additional metallic reinforcement.
For example, the catalog lists minimum bending radii of:
20 mm for 1/4"
22 mm for 5/16"
26 mm for 3/8"
26 mm for 1/2"
This makes the hose particularly useful in densely packaged processing equipment.
A highly flexible hose can simplify piping around:
Pumps
Metering units
Filling machines
Mixing equipment
Tanks
Valves
Instrument panels
Sampling systems
Laboratory equipment
Process skids
Instead of redesigning the equipment around the hose, the hose can be routed according to the actual machine geometry.
Flexibility does not remove the fundamental advantages of PTFE.
The hose maintains PTFE's compatibility with many industrial process media, subject to final confirmation of temperature, concentration and pressure.
Potential media include:
Acids
Alkalis
Chemical solutions
Pharmaceutical fluids
Food-processing materials
Solvents
Process liquids
The catalog specifically lists applications in:
Pharmaceutical, food and chemical industries.
The catalog temperature range is:
-70°C to +260°C
This broad operating range allows the hose to be considered for:
Refrigerated process environments
Ambient-temperature chemical transfer
Heated production lines
High-temperature cleaning
Temperature-sensitive fluid systems
Pressure capability must always be evaluated at the actual operating temperature.
A flexible fluid connection can also help accommodate small amounts of:
Equipment vibration
Thermal expansion
Assembly tolerance
Alignment variation
Maintenance movement
This can reduce excessive side loading on fittings when compared with a rigidly constrained connection.
For continuous dynamic movement, however, bending frequency and installation conditions should be evaluated separately.
The JCC-10000-PTFE series can be considered for:
Pharmaceutical processing equipment
Food production machinery
Chemical transfer systems
Filling machines
Dosing equipment
Laboratory instruments
Flexible pump connections
Mixing systems
Compact process skids
Sampling equipment
Fluid handling machinery
Customized automation equipment

These values are catalog reference data. Final working pressure depends on temperature, fittings and complete hose configuration.
The two structures serve different installation priorities.
Better suited when the priority is:
Smooth internal flow
Low material retention
Simple straight routing
Better suited when the priority is:
Very small bending radius
Flexible routing
Compact equipment
Complex hose paths
Easier installation around components
The correct structure should therefore be chosen according to both the transferred medium and the physical machine layout.
The JCC-10000 series is a strong option when:
A normal PTFE tube cannot make the required bend
Equipment installation space is limited
The hose must route around multiple components
Chemical resistance is required
Temperature conditions vary widely
A flexible PTFE connection is preferred over rigid tubing
