Introduction

The connection between an extruder and its downstream equipment is a critical thermal transition point.

Polymer, resin or other heated process material can leave the extruder barrel at the correct temperature but begin cooling as soon as it enters an unheated flexible connection. Even a short cold section can increase viscosity, raise pressure and disturb material flow.

A flexible heated melt link for extrusion equipment maintains material temperature while providing a movable connection between machine sections.

It can be used with extruders, extrusion production lines, marking equipment and other systems requiring the transfer of high-temperature material through a flexible path.

The Heated Hose as a Thermal Bridge

In an extrusion system, the hose is not simply a connector. It functions as a thermal bridge between:

  • Extruder and die head

The 250°C and 35 MPa statement represents a customized application capability and is not the rating of every catalog model.
