Sintered PTFE Straight Tube from 4.5 mm to 51 mm ID for Corrosive Media Lines Rated -70°C to 260°C

JINGCHENG Sintered PTFE Straight Tube (series JCC-00000-PTFE) is made from PTFE resin by extrusion, drying, high-temperature sintering and shaping, giving a plain, smooth wall that carries strong acids, strong alkalis, oxidizers, reducing agents and organic solvents from -70°C to +260°C. 11 standard sizes cover 4.5–51 mm ID (5/32" to 2") with 1.0–2.0 mm walls, working pressure 0.40–1.73 MPa and burst pressure 1.2–5.6 MPa; diameters, wall thickness and lengths can be made to your parameters.

Sintered PTFE Straight Tube from 4.5 mm to 51 mm ID for Corrosive Media Lines Rated -70°C to 260°C

When a machine builder or plant engineer needs a plain PTFE line, the first questions are practical: which inner diameter fits the fitting, how much pressure the wall can take at that size, and how tightly the tube can be routed. This page answers those questions for the JINGCHENG JCC-00000-PTFE straight tube, the basic smooth-wall PTFE tube at the start of our PTFE hose catalog and the inner tube on which many of our braided and jacketed PTFE hoses are built.

How the Tube Is Made

The tube is produced from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) resin in four steps: extrusion, drying, high-temperature sintering and shaping. Sintering fuses the extruded resin into a continuous wall, so the finished tube has a uniform white, translucent body and a smooth bore with no seams. Standard wall thicknesses run from 1.0 mm on the small sizes to 2.0 mm on 1" and above.

What It Handles

  • Temperature: -70°C to +260°C working range.

  • Media: strong acids, strong alkalis, strong oxidizing agents, reducing agents and a wide range of organic solvents.

  • High-purity fluids: the smooth PTFE bore is suitable for transferring high-purity chemicals.

  • Surface: non-stick inner wall that drains and flushes easily between batches.

Choosing a Size: Pressure Falls as Diameter Grows

As with any unreinforced tube, the allowable pressure drops as the bore gets larger. In the JCC-00000 range the 1/4" size (6.8 mm ID) carries the highest working pressure at 1.73 MPa, while the 2" size (51 mm ID) is rated at 0.40 MPa. Bend radius grows with diameter as well, from 60 mm on 5/32" to 1200 mm on 2". Use the table below to match the size to your system pressure and the space available for routing.

Practical Selection Notes

  1. Start from the fitting: pick the ID and OD that match your compression, flare or barb fitting; tolerance on ID and OD is ±0.2 mm.

  2. Check pressure at your size: keep the maximum system pressure within the working pressure for that diameter; the burst figure is a safety margin, not an operating limit.

  3. Respect the bend radius: bending tighter than the listed minimum can kink the wall. If the route needs tighter turns, look at our JCC-10000 convoluted PTFE hose instead.

  4. Need more pressure? The same PTFE tube can be supplied with a 304 stainless steel braid (JCC-01100 series) for higher pressure lines.

  5. Custom orders: inner diameter, outer diameter, wall thickness and cut length can be produced to your parameters. Send us the medium, temperature, pressure and dimensions for a quotation.
