Warm and temperature-controlled water is used in many food-processing systems for circulation, process support and equipment connection.
Although the water may be heated inside a tank or temperature-control unit, it can lose heat while passing through an ordinary flexible hose. Long hose lengths, low ambient temperatures and intermittent flow can all reduce the water temperature before it reaches the next machine section.
A flexible heated water circulation hose combines electrical heating, thermal insulation and customized connections in one assembly.
It helps maintain more stable water temperature while providing the flexibility required between pumps, tanks, processing equipment and circulation units.
An insulated hose slows heat loss but does not actively replace the energy lost during circulation.
This limitation becomes noticeable when:
The hose is long
Water flow is slow
The production area is cold
The circulation system stops temporarily
The equipment requires stable inlet temperature
The hose connects moving or misaligned machinery
A heated hose actively compensates for thermal loss and helps maintain the selected water temperature throughout the connection.
Changes in water temperature may affect:
Process repeatability
Warm-water circulation
Equipment startup time
Thermal cleaning procedures
Heat-transfer consistency
Pump and valve response
Downstream material temperature
Overall system efficiency
A temperature-maintained hose helps reduce the difference between the water temperature at the heating unit and the temperature at the point of use.
The heating elements are arranged along the hose to minimize local temperature differences.
This is important because a hose can have an acceptable average temperature while still containing colder sections near bends, fittings or exposed areas.
Uniform heating can help:
Maintain stable outlet-water temperature
Reduce localized heat loss
Improve circulation consistency
Shorten warm-up time
Support intermittent operation
Reduce cold sections after system restart
The product is intended for food-conveying equipment and uses a customized food-grade material-contact inner tube.
The final inner tube and fittings should be selected according to:
Water temperature
Water quality
Cleaning chemicals
Working pressure
Flow rate
Hose length
Equipment interface
Food-processing requirements
All parts of the material path can be customized according to the customer’s equipment and process conditions.
The standard heated water hose supports temperatures up to:
100°C
The final operating temperature depends on the selected inner tube, sensor, fittings, insulation and system configuration.
