An electrically heated hose looks simple from the outside: a flexible jacket, two end fittings and a cable going to the controller. Inside, however, every hose is a small engineered system. The inner tube must hold the medium's pressure at temperature, the heating layer must deliver the right power per meter, the sensor must talk to the controller you already have, and the wiring must match the pins on both ends. When one of these details is missing from an inquiry, the result is a round of back-and-forth emails at best, and a hose that does not fit the machine at worst.
Every JINGCHENG electrically heated hose is built to order. This guide shows how to read the JINGCHENG model code, which eight parameters the catalog order form asks for, and how those parameters change between three common jobs: hot melt adhesive dispensing, gas sampling and analysis, and extrusion.
JINGCHENG heated hoses are identified by a model code such as JCH-200-16-B-3X220-P2-8. Each segment describes one design decision:
Segment | Example | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
Working temperature | 200 | 200 °C |
Inner diameter | 16 | Φ16 mm |
Inner tube material | B | B = stainless steel corrugated tube; TB = PTFE hose with stainless steel braid; T = PTFE hose; X = special material |
Working voltage | 3X220 | 220 = 220 V; 3X220 = three-phase four-wire 220 V |
Temperature sensor | P2 | P2 = PT100 two-wire; P3 = PT100 three-wire; K = Type K thermocouple; J = Type J thermocouple; W = no sensor; T = special sensor |
Working pressure | 8 | 8 MPa |
If you already have a JINGCHENG hose on a machine, the model code on its label is the fastest way to order an identical replacement. If you are specifying a new hose, the sections below explain how to fill in each segment.

Match the voltage of the heating zone on your melter, controller or analyzer, not just the mains supply of the plant. Many machines provide a dedicated hose output; the hose must be built for that output, whether 220 Vac single-phase, three-phase 220 V, 380 Vac, 110 Vac or 12 Vdc for mobile equipment.
The sensor is the most common cause of "the hose heats but the controller shows an error". Your controller is designed for one sensor type. Check its manual or the label of the old hose and specify exactly that type: Type J or Type K thermocouple, Ni120, PT100 or PT1000. For PT100, also state two-wire (P2) or three-wire (P3).
Measure the real routing path, including the loop needed for moving heads, and choose the next standard length (3, 4.5, 5, 6 or 10 m) or ask for a custom length. Choose the inner diameter for the flow rate and viscosity of the medium: a bore that is too small raises pressure drop for viscous materials, while an oversized bore holds more material and responds more slowly.
Specify the maximum pressure your pump or melter can produce, not only the normal operating pressure, and remember that a hose's pressure rating must be confirmed at operating temperature. Rated power (W/m) determines how fast the hose reaches set point and how well it holds temperature in a cold environment; tell us the target temperature and ambient conditions and our engineers will recommend a value.
Give the thread standard and size for each end (US, British or metric), and send the pin number, wire color and function for both the controller end and the gun/tool end. A photo of the existing connector with its pin markings is usually the quickest way to get this right.
A hot melt hose links the melter to the applicator gun. The priorities are an even temperature along the full length so the adhesive does not thicken or char, a sensor that matches the melter's hose channel, and connectors whose pin layout matches both the melter and the gun. Provide the adhesive type, application temperature, melter brand and model, and the gun-end connector details.
A heat-traced sample line keeps flue or process gas above its dew point from probe to analyzer so moisture and soluble components do not condense. JINGCHENG's gas sampling hose offers heat resistance up to 230 °C (higher on request), uniformly braided heating elements and a bend and kink resistant construction, in small-bore sizes:
ID (inch) | OD (mm ±0.2) | Working pressure (bar) | Burst pressure (bar) | Min. bend radius (mm) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
3/16" | 7.6 | 203 | 810 | 30 |
1/4" | 9 | 173 | 690 | 30 |
5/16" | 11 | 158 | 630 | 40 |
For sample lines, state the required line temperature, the analyzer or pretreatment unit it connects to, and the sensor type expected by the temperature controller.
Extruder hoses carry molten or highly viscous material between machine sections and must follow moving heads. The JINGCHENG Extruder Heated Hose has a maximum service temperature up to 250 °C and withstands 35 MPa at 250 °C:
ID (inch) | OD (mm ±0.2) | Working pressure (bar) | Burst pressure (bar) | Min. bend radius (mm) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
3/8" | 15.5 | 110 | 440 | 20 |
1/2" | 19 | 88 | 350 | 25 |
5/8" | 22.7 | 70 | 280 | 30 |
3/4" | 27 | 65 | 260 | 60 |
1" | 34 | 57.5 | 230 | 85 |

Ambient temperature: -40 °C to +55 °C
Relative humidity: not more than 85%
Atmospheric pressure: 86 kPa to 106 kPa
The surrounding medium should not contain gases that corrode metal or damage insulation, or conductive media. For special environments, ask for a customized hose.
Wire the hose according to its technical parameters and the pin table supplied with it.
Do not twist the hose sideways during or after installation; lateral twisting can cause leakage, flow loss, hose damage or fire.
Avoid sharp bends; respect the minimum bend radius to prevent short circuits and leakage.
Have the hose operated by authorized, trained personnel, and do not modify it without our guidance.
