A PTFE hose rarely fails because PTFE can't handle the chemical. It fails because it was chosen for the wrong job. One common mistake is putting a flexible low-pressure hose on a pressurized hot-oil line. Another is forcing a pressure-rated hose around a bend tighter than its rating. Both look fine on the day of installation. The problem shows up later as a kink, a collapsed section, or a leak in the middle of a batch.
Jingcheng builds two PTFE corrugated hose designs for these two different jobs. The JCC-10000-PTFE is corrugated inside and out and is built for flexibility. The JCC-20000-PTFE has a smooth PTFE bore, a corrugated outer profile, and a 304 stainless steel spiral spring in the middle layer, and it is built to carry pressure. This guide gives the catalogue data for both so you can match the hose to your line before it goes in.
Both the inner and outer walls of this hose are corrugated PTFE. The double corrugation lets the hose bend without flattening. The minimum bend radius is 20 mm at 1/4" and 26 mm at 1/2", which makes it a practical choice where the hose has to route around equipment in a tight space.
Temperature range: -70°C to 260°C
Sizes: 1/4" to 2" (6.5 mm to 50 mm ID). It is the only one of the two series offered above 1".
Working pressure: 60 psi (0.4 MPa) from 1/4" to 1/2", dropping to 30 psi (0.2 MPa) at 2"
Where engineers get it wrong: this is a low-pressure hose. If your line runs above 0.4 MPa, it is the wrong series. Go to the JCC-20000-PTFE.

This hose has three parts, and each one does a specific job:
Smooth PTFE bore. The inside has no corrugations, so residue has nowhere to settle between batches. That makes the hose easier to flush and drain, which matters most in food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical lines, where cross-contamination is the real risk.
304 spiral spring in the middle layer. The spring holds the hose round when it bends and when it is under pressure. At the same 1/2" size, this series has a working pressure of 1.8 MPa, compared with 0.4 MPa for the JCC-10000-PTFE. At 1/4", the working pressure is 396 psi (2.64 MPa) and the burst pressure is 1276 psi (8.8 MPa).
Corrugated outer profile. This keeps the hose flexible enough to install despite the reinforcement.
Temperature range: -65°C to 260°C
The trade-off: the spring costs some flexibility in the mid sizes. At 1/2" the minimum bend radius is 38 mm, and at 5/8" it is 50 mm, compared with 26 mm and 32 mm for the JCC-10000-PTFE. The series stops at 1".

PTFE contact surface: PTFE is chemically inert to most process media, so the medium only ever touches PTFE.
Temperature: both are high-temperature PTFE hoses rated up to 260°C.
Customization: both series can be made to your specified parameters.
JCC-10000-PTFE is suitable for the pharmaceutical, food and chemical industries. It fits flexible, low-pressure transfer lines where routing space is tight or where sizes above 1" are needed.
JCC-20000-PTFE transports highly corrosive chemicals, hot air, hot oil and steam. It is suitable for the food, cosmetics, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. It is the better choice when a line needs pressure capacity and a clean, smooth bore at the same time.
Quick selection guide
If your line needs… | Choose |
|---|---|
Working pressure above 0.4 MPa | JCC-20000-PTFE |
Steam, hot oil or hot air transfer | JCC-20000-PTFE |
Smooth bore for cleaning and drainage | JCC-20000-PTFE |
Sizes above 1" (up to 2") | JCC-10000-PTFE |
Tighter bend at 1/2"–5/8" | JCC-10000-PTFE |
Service down to -70°C | JCC-10000-PTFE |
Choosing between these two hoses comes down to three questions:
How much pressure does the line run?
How tight is the tightest bend?
Does the bore need to drain and clean fully between batches?
A fully corrugated PTFE hose answers flexibility. A smooth-bore PTFE hose with a stainless steel spring answers pressure and cleanability. As a PTFE convoluted hose manufacturer in Shenzhen, China, Jingcheng builds both series and can customize to your parameters.
