Pharmaceutical, food and chemical plants move aggressive or hygiene-critical fluids through equipment that is rarely laid out in straight lines. Pumps vibrate, skids are compact, and transfer stations need hoses that can be routed around tight corners and reconnected many times a shift. A rigid or stiff tube kinks, cracks or puts stress on fittings. JINGCHENG's PTFE Inner Spiral Convoluted Hose (series JCC-10000-PTFE) solves this. Both the inner and outer walls are convoluted, so the hose combines the chemical inertness of PTFE with very strong bending performance.
In process industries, the hose is often the weakest point of a fluid system. Ordinary rubber and plastic hoses tend to cause the same problems again and again:
Chemical attack: acids, alkalis and solvents swell, harden or crack the hose wall
Contamination risk: extractables and odors can migrate into drugs, food ingredients or fine chemicals
Kinking in tight spaces: stiff hoses collapse at bends, restricting flow and stressing connections
Short service life: frequent replacement increases downtime and maintenance cost
A convoluted PTFE hose keeps the material advantages of PTFE and adds the flexibility needed for real-world routing.
The JCC-10000-PTFE hose is a PTFE (Teflon) hose whose inner and outer walls are both corrugated. The spiral convolutions act like a flexible bellows: the hose can bend to a small radius without flattening, and it recovers its shape after flexing. The material is natural translucent white PTFE, so operators can check the flow and look for blockages.
Temperature range: -70°C to +260°C
Excellent bending performance: minimum bend radius from only 20 mm (1/4") to 125 mm (2")
Chemically inert PTFE: resists nearly all industrial chemicals and solvents
Clean, non-stick surface: low adhesion and no added plasticizers
Certifications listed for this series: ISO 9001:2015, US FDA 21 CFR 177.1550 and SGS
The catalog lists this hose for the pharmaceutical, food and chemical industries. Typical uses include:
Pharmaceutical production: flexible connections on reactors, filling machines, dosing pumps and API transfer lines
Food and beverage processing: transfer of flavors, syrups, oils, edible alcohol and cleaning agents on processing and filling equipment
Chemical processing: flexible loading, unloading and transfer of acids, alkalis and solvents at low to medium pressure
Equipment connections: pump inlets and outlets, vibration isolation and connections between moving or misaligned parts
Laboratory and pilot plants: flexible lines for R&D setups that change often
Very flexible. The double-convoluted wall gives much tighter bends than a smooth bore tube of the same size. For example, the 1" size has a minimum bend radius of 80 mm.
Kink resistant. The convolutions support the wall at bends, so the flow path stays open.
Universal chemical resistance. One hose handles a broad range of acids, alkalis, oxidizers and solvents.
Hygienic and pure. PTFE is non-stick and does not release plasticizers into the product, which suits pharmaceutical and food applications.
Wide temperature window. From -70°C to +260°C, the hose handles cold product transfer as well as hot cleaning cycles.
Ten standard sizes. Inner diameters from 1/4" to 2", and production to customer parameters on request.

A smooth bore PTFE tube has the cleanest bore and the highest pressure rating, but it needs a large bend radius. The convoluted hose trades some pressure capacity for much greater flexibility. Choose it when the route has tight bends, when equipment moves or vibrates, or when the hose is connected and disconnected often.
Rubber and PVC hoses are flexible, but their chemical and temperature limits are narrow, and they may release odors or extractables. The convoluted PTFE hose is just as easy to route, and it handles far more aggressive media at temperatures up to +260°C.
The bare convoluted hose is designed for low-pressure transfer (0.2–0.4 MPa working pressure). For higher pressure, vacuum or suction service, choose a stainless steel braided PTFE hose or a spring-reinforced PTFE hose from the JINGCHENG range.
Pressure: keep the operating pressure within the working pressure for the selected size; larger sizes have lower ratings.
Bend radius: route the hose so that bends do not go below the minimum bend radius listed above.
Temperature: confirm that the process, including cleaning or sterilizing cycles, stays within -70°C to +260°C.
Media: PTFE is compatible with most chemicals. Send us your media list for confirmation in critical services.
Connection: tell us your fitting type (sanitary clamp, flange, thread or hose barb) so we can recommend the right end design.
JINGCHENG can produce the hose to customer parameters: special inner and outer diameters, cut lengths, end treatments and packaging for OEM equipment builders and distributors. Send us your drawings or requirements and our engineers will recommend a suitable solution.
Do not twist the hose during installation; align the ends before tightening the fittings.
Respect the minimum bend radius and avoid sharp bends right next to the fittings.
Support long horizontal runs so the hose does not sag or rub against equipment.
Flush the hose between incompatible media and after each batch in hygienic service.
Inspect regularly for abrasion, deformation or damage near the connections, and replace the hose if needed.
