Analytical instruments, laboratory dosing systems and sample-handling equipment depend on tubing that does not react with the fluid inside it. A small amount of leached plasticizer, a trace of absorbed solvent, or a rough bore that traps residue can skew a measurement, cross-contaminate a sample or force early maintenance. JINGCHENG's Standard Smooth Bore PTFE Tube (series JCC-00000-PTFE) is made for these fluid paths. It is chemically inert, clean and stable over a wide temperature range.
Lab equipment handles a constantly changing mix of media: strong acids and alkalis for digestion, oxidizing reagents, reducing agents, organic solvents for extraction and cleaning, and high-purity water or buffers. General-purpose plastic and rubber tubing can swell, harden, discolor or release extractables when exposed to this range of chemicals. The results are:
Contaminated samples and unreliable analytical results
Carry-over between runs when residue clings to a rough inner surface
Frequent tube replacement and instrument downtime
Safety risks when tubing cracks or leaks while carrying aggressive reagents
A smooth bore PTFE tube addresses all four problems with a single, well-proven material.
The tube is made from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) resin. The resin is paste-extruded, dried, sintered at high temperature and shaped into a seamless tube. The result is a homogeneous wall with a smooth, non-stick inner surface and a natural translucent white appearance, so operators can see the fluid moving through the line.
Wide temperature range: -70°C to +260°C
Broad chemical resistance: suitable for strong acids and alkalis, strong oxidizing agents, reducing agents and various organic solvents
High purity: very suitable for transporting high-purity chemicals
Non-stick, low-friction bore: fluids drain cleanly and residue has little to cling to
Certifications listed for this series: ISO 9001:2015, US FDA 21 CFR 177.1550 and SGS
Analytical instrument reagent and sample lines. Carry reagents, standards and samples with minimal interaction with the media.
Laboratory dosing and dispensing systems. Transfer acids, bases and solvents in automated or manual dispensing setups.
Sample digestion and wet chemistry stations. Route strong acids and oxidizers safely.
Solvent delivery and waste lines. Handle organic solvents that swell or degrade ordinary plastic tubing.
High-purity water and chemical supply. Connect high-purity media inside test and process equipment.
Pilot plants and R&D rigs. Build flexible, chemically resistant fluid paths for experimental setups.
Chemically inert across the board. One tube handles acids, alkalis, oxidizers, reducing agents and solvents, which simplifies inventory.
Clean, smooth inner wall. Easier flushing, less carry-over and better process repeatability.
Thermal stability. Performance is maintained from -70°C up to +260°C, so it suits heated digestion lines as well as cold sample paths.
Translucent body. Flow, bubbles and blockages are visible at a glance.
Complete size range. Inner diameters run from 4.5 mm (5/32") to 51 mm (2"), covering micro-lines through to larger transfer lines.
Customizable. Can be produced to customer parameters.

Temperature range: -70°C to +260°C. Custom parameters available on request.
Common plastic and rubber tubes are inexpensive, but their chemical and temperature limits are narrow. They can swell or release extractables in solvents and strong acids. PTFE stays stable across a much broader range of media and temperatures, which makes it the safer choice for analytical work.
Convoluted (corrugated) PTFE hose is more flexible and bends tighter, but its ridged bore is harder to flush completely. A smooth bore tube gives the cleanest flow path and the easiest cleaning. It is the better choice for fixed or gently curved routes inside instruments, where the minimum bend radius in the table above can be respected.
Braided PTFE hose adds an outer reinforcement for higher pressure and mechanical protection. For low-pressure lab and instrument lines that run within the working pressures listed above, the bare smooth bore tube is lighter, more compact, translucent and more economical.
Flow and connection size: choose the ID/OD that matches your fittings and required flow rate.
Pressure: keep the system's operating pressure below the working pressure for that size. Note that larger diameters have lower pressure ratings.
Routing space: check the minimum bend radius and allow gentle curves. Use a smooth bore tube for straight or lightly curved runs.
Temperature: confirm that the process stays within -70°C to +260°C.
Media: PTFE suits most acids, alkalis, oxidizers and solvents. Share your media list with us for confirmation.
JINGCHENG can produce the tube to customer parameters. Talk to our team about non-standard inner or outer diameters, wall thickness, cut lengths and packaging for OEM instrument builders and distributors. Send us your drawings or requirements and we will recommend a suitable solution.
Cut the tube square with a sharp tube cutter so the fitting seals properly.
Use fittings that match the tube OD, and do not overtighten them.
Do not bend the tube tighter than its minimum bend radius, because kinking reduces flow and strength.
Flush lines between incompatible reagents. The smooth bore makes this fast and effective.
Inspect tubes regularly for deformation, abrasion or damage at connection points, and replace them as needed.
