A lightweight aramid braided PTFE hose is designed for fluid systems that require high pressure resistance, flexible installation, chemical compatibility and lower hose weight.
The JCC-04100-PTFE series uses a straight PTFE inner tube surrounded by an aramid fiber braided reinforcement layer. The PTFE inner tube provides resistance to fuels, gases, acids, alkalis and organic solvents, while the aramid braid improves pressure performance without adding the weight of a conventional stainless steel outer braid.
This hose is suitable for hydraulic machinery, automotive systems, railway equipment, marine pipelines, aircraft, rockets, spacecraft and other technically demanding fluid systems.
An aramid braided PTFE hose consists of:
A straight PTFE inner tube
An anti-static PTFE material option
A high-strength aramid fiber reinforcement layer
Customized fittings and end connections
Aramid fiber has a high strength-to-weight ratio. It allows the hose to achieve strong pressure performance while remaining lighter than many metal-braided alternatives.
The anti-static inner tube is intended to help reduce electrostatic accumulation when transferring suitable fuels, gases and solvents. The required electrical resistance and grounding arrangement should be confirmed according to the application.
Stainless steel braided hoses offer strong mechanical protection, but their weight may be undesirable in mobile, vehicle or aerospace equipment.
Aramid reinforcement can provide several advantages:
Lower hose assembly weight
Strong pressure resistance
Flexible bending performance
Reduced load on equipment connections
Easier routing in vehicles and machinery
No exposed metal braid
Compatibility with vibration-sensitive systems
This makes the hose particularly useful where both high pressure and lightweight construction are required.
The aramid woven outer layer reduces overall hose weight while providing high-strength reinforcement.
The inner tube can provide anti-static performance for applications involving fuels, gases and other media capable of generating electrostatic charge.
The listed 3/8-inch model has a reference working pressure of up to 40 MPa / 5,800 psi.
The hose supports a wide operating temperature range for vehicle, chemical and industrial fluid systems.
