Introduction

A spring-reinforced smooth-bore corrugated PTFE hose combines clean internal flow, improved flexibility and structural reinforcement.

The inner wall is smooth to reduce material retention and flow resistance. The outer PTFE wall is corrugated to improve bending performance. A 304 stainless steel spiral spring is positioned around the hose to provide additional support.

This structure is suitable for transferring corrosive chemicals, hot air, hot oil, steam and other industrial fluids.

Why Combine a Smooth Bore With a Corrugated Outer Wall?

A conventional smooth PTFE hose offers good flow performance but may be less flexible.

A fully corrugated PTFE hose bends easily, but its corrugated inner wall may retain more material in certain applications.
