Pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic and beverage plants need hose that is clean inside and outside. A bare stainless steel braid protects a PTFE tube from pressure, but it can trap dirt, scratch equipment and wear through in daily handling. JINGCHENG's TPU Covered PTFE Braided Hose (series JCC-61100-PTFE) solves this. A smooth PTFE inner tube is reinforced with high-strength 304 stainless steel braided wire and finished with a smooth PU (polyurethane) outer layer that protects the braid from wear and contamination. The JCC-61100-PTFE hose is built in three layers. The inner layer is a smooth PTFE tube that provides a clean, non-stick, low-permeability flow path. The reinforcement layer is high-strength 304 stainless steel braided wire that carries the pressure load. The outer layer is a smooth PU sheath that provides a clean outer surface and protects the stainless steel wire reinforcement from wear and contamination. Cover colors such as black, red and blue can be customized for line identification. Eight catalog sizes cover 5/32" to 1" ID.

A bare stainless steel braided PTFE hose offers the same type of pressure reinforcement, but the exposed braid can collect residue, fray with handling and scratch surrounding equipment. The PU cover gives a smooth, cleanable surface and protects the braid, which is why covered hose is preferred in pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic and beverage areas.
Rubber and silicone hose are flexible and economical, but solvents, oils and aggressive chemicals can swell or degrade them, and their walls are more permeable. The PTFE bore is inert to almost all chemicals and solvents, has low permeability and releases viscous media such as paint and adhesives easily.
A plain PTFE tube is ideal for low-pressure transfer. When the line must handle pump pressure, hydraulic or pneumatic service, the 304 stainless steel braid of the JCC-61100-PTFE adds pressure strength, while the PU cover keeps the outside clean.
Pressure: keep the operating pressure, including pump pulses, within the working pressure for the selected size; note that ratings differ by size (for example 42 MPa on 1/4" and 10 MPa on 1").
Bend radius: route the hose so that bends do not go below the minimum bend radius, from 50 mm on 5/32" to 300 mm on 1".
Temperature: confirm that the media temperature, cleaning cycles and the surrounding environment are within the rated range; tell us your conditions for sustained high external temperatures so we can confirm the cover and assembly design.

Do not twist the hose during installation; align the ends before tightening the fittings.
Respect the minimum bend radius and avoid sharp bends right next to the fittings.
Avoid cutting or crushing the PU cover; a damaged cover exposes the braid to wear and contamination.
Flush the line between products, and release pressure before disconnecting paint, adhesive or chemical lines.
Inspect regularly for cover damage, kinks or leakage near the connections, and replace the hose if needed.
