PTFE is one of the best materials available for conveying aggressive and high-purity media, but it is also an excellent electrical insulator. When fuels, solvents or powders flow quickly through a standard PTFE tube, electrostatic charge can build up on the tube wall, which is a serious risk in flammable-liquid and electrostatic coating systems. JINGCHENG's Anti-Static PTFE Hose Series is designed to control this risk. It keeps the chemical resistance, low friction and wide temperature range of PTFE, from -60°C to +260°C, while adding anti-static properties that help prevent charge accumulation. The series is available in four constructions: anti-static smooth bore hose, anti-static convoluted hose, anti-static smooth-ID/convoluted-OD hose and all-black conductive convoluted hose.
In chemical, coating and food processing lines, static electricity is often an invisible hazard. Typical problems with standard insulating hose include:
Charge accumulation: fast-flowing low-conductivity liquids and gases build up static charge on insulating tube walls
Ignition risk: a static discharge near flammable liquids, solvent vapors or coating mists can cause fires or explosions
Process disturbance: static charge attracts dust and disturbs coating quality in static load coating systems
Chemical and thermal limits: ordinary anti-static rubber hose may not withstand strong chemicals or high and low temperatures
An anti-static PTFE hose combines static control with the chemical inertness and temperature stability of PTFE, providing a safer solution for these demanding applications.
PTFE anti-static smooth bore hose: a straight, smooth-wall anti-static PTFE tube with a clean, low-friction bore that is easy to flush and offers low flow resistance.
PTFE anti-static convoluted hose: an anti-static PTFE hose with a convoluted (corrugated) wall that increases flexibility and allows tighter routing.
PTFE anti-static smooth-ID/convoluted-OD hose: an anti-static hose with a smooth inner bore and a convoluted outer wall, combining a clean, low-resistance flow path with improved flexibility.
PTFE all-black conductive convoluted hose: a fully black conductive PTFE convoluted hose for applications that require conductivity throughout the hose.
Durable to high and low temperatures: anti-static PTFE hose can withstand temperatures from -60°C to 260°C, handling high temperature and high pressure while staying flexible without hardening at low temperature.
Dielectric strength: the anti-static PTFE tube can withstand voltages in the range of 50 V to 120 kV.
Low friction coefficient: the friction coefficient of anti-static PTFE is very low, about 0.1, and the static and dynamic coefficients are almost the same.
Wear resistance: the smooth, slippery surface provides natural lubrication, giving a very low static friction coefficient under a 500 psi load.
Lightweight: the anti-static PTFE tube is very light and easy to handle and install.
Shock absorption and impact resistance: the hose allows shock absorption and offers high impact resistance.
Static control: the most important property of the series; it helps prevent any form of charge accumulation.
Strong chemical resistance and water repellency: the anti-static PTFE tube resists various types of corrosion, is water-repellent and is highly inert to chemicals.
The catalog lists the following typical applications for anti-static PTFE hose:
Chemical liquid treatment: transfer, dosing and sampling of corrosive chemicals, acids, alkalis and solvents
Transportation of flammable liquids: fuel, solvent and other flammable liquid lines where static discharge must be prevented
Static load coating industry: paint, powder and coating supply lines in electrostatic spraying and coating systems
Food industry: process lines that require PTFE purity together with static control
Static control for safety. Anti-static construction helps prevent charge accumulation in flammable-liquid and coating lines.
Four constructions, one supplier. Smooth bore, convoluted, smooth-ID/convoluted-OD and all-black conductive convoluted versions cover different flexibility and routing needs.
Wide temperature range. Rated from -60°C to 260°C, without hardening at low temperature.
Low friction, smooth flow. A friction coefficient of about 0.1 reduces flow resistance and product build-up.
Chemical resistance and water repellency. PTFE is highly inert to chemicals and resists various types of corrosion.
Light and impact resistant. Lightweight, shock-absorbing and impact-resistant for easy installation and long service life.
Custom production. Diameters, wall structures, lengths and assemblies can be produced to your requirements.

A standard PTFE tube offers the same chemical resistance and temperature range, but as an insulator it can allow static charge to accumulate in fast-flowing, low-conductivity media. The anti-static series adds static control, making it the safer choice for flammable liquids and static load coating systems.
The smooth bore hose offers the cleanest, lowest-resistance flow path and is easiest to flush. Convoluted versions are more flexible and allow tighter routing. The smooth-ID/convoluted-OD design combines a smooth bore with convoluted flexibility, while the all-black conductive convoluted hose provides conductivity throughout the hose.
Anti-static rubber hose is economical, but solvents, fuels and strong chemicals can swell or degrade it, and its temperature window is narrower. Anti-static PTFE hose stays chemically inert and flexible from -60°C to 260°C and is water-repellent.
Media: confirm the liquid, gas or coating material and its flammability; PTFE is compatible with nearly all chemicals.
Static requirement: tell us whether your system requires anti-static or fully conductive hose so we can recommend the right construction.
Flexibility and routing: choose smooth bore for straight runs and easy cleaning, or convoluted versions for tighter bends and moving connections.
Temperature: make sure the process stays within -60°C to 260°C.
Pressure and size: send us your inner diameter, flow and pressure requirements; for higher pressure we can recommend braided anti-static constructions.
Grounding and connection: specify your fittings and grounding method so the assembly provides a continuous path for static dissipation.
JINGCHENG produces anti-static PTFE hose to customer parameters: inner and outer diameters, wall structure, cut lengths, end fittings, braiding and protective sleeves for chemical equipment builders, coating system integrators, food machinery manufacturers and distributors. Send us your drawings or requirements and our engineers will recommend a suitable solution.
Ground the hose assembly and connected equipment correctly so that static charge can dissipate.
Do not twist the hose during installation; align the ends before tightening the fittings.
Avoid kinking, especially on smooth bore hose; use convoluted versions where tight bends are required.
Keep the hose away from sharp edges and protect it from crushing in walkways and around moving parts.
Inspect regularly for damage, kinks or leakage near the connections, and replace the hose if needed.
